The Farm Organics in Daphne.ph

I mentioned in my last entry that I'll be posting some milestones/features/fun memories that happened throughout The Farm Organics 1st year.

The Farm Organics was first featured in daphne.ph last May 2012. I was so excited that such a credible and well-known mom, TV host, blogger, designer, and UNICEF Special Advocate for Children, liked our products. One thing I know is that Daphne OseƱa Paez really cares about her family, so we are so so happy she uses our certified organic beef for meals for her lovely daughters and husband, Patrick Paez. Thanks so much again Daphne!

Give Health on Christmas Day

UPDATE: To celebrate our 1st Anniversary and the holiday season, here's a 20% off coupon code (HOLIDAY2012) for our Premium Organic Rib Eye, New York Steaks and Ready-to-Eat Roast Beef at www.thefarm.ph

If you're having a hard time thinking of what to give this Christmas, how about some healthy The Farm Organics certified organic grass-fed steaks?

Quite a number of people (aside from me, of course) have already started ordering their Christmas presents from thefarm.ph, and we even wrap it in our special packaging so that it doesn't get to the person receiving the gift, in a plastic bag of raw meat which has come from the supermarket.

Apart from being a unique gift, it's something that people will appreciate since most of the food during the holidays are going to be delicious but unhealthy, so this will be a welcome change.

It is also good to note what A Moveable Feast Philippines founder, Jenny Pascual states, "Think Local. What better way to give gifts this Christmas than from our local food producers? Giving something that's grown by our local farms and created by local food artisans not only lets people discover new things, it also supports the hometown economy."

In case you haven't heard by now, The Farm Organics is the first and only to offer local certified organic beef in the Philippines.

For more gift ideas, please check out our website at thefarm.ph. We also have Beef Jerky (made from certified organic beef), Organic All Beef Burger Patties (the same exact patty which is used to make the Philippines first Grilled Organic Double Quarter Pounder Cheeseburger--a mouthful in many ways (pun intended), and much more...Happy Holidays!

The Farm Organics, Robinsons Supermarket, Magnolia

For those who live in New Manila, please check out our newest branch in Robinson's Supermarket Magnolia this weekend where the old Magnolia Ice Cream House used to be. Please drop by if you live in the area.

To my knowledge, The Farm Organics is the first and only local certified organic beef in the Philippines. We made it a point to have a 3rd party organization certify us, so that customers will have an easier time choosing from the many organic brands out there.

Happy 1st Birthday, The Farm Organics!

Wow, I can't believe one year went by that fast! It was only last year (around July 2011, I think) that we thought of turning our breeding cattle farm in Masbate into the country's first certified organic grass-fed cattle farm, after discovering that my dad has been using natural and organic farming practices for a few decades now.

The first certified organic cattle farm in the Philippines

The brand The Farm Organics was actually conceptualized years ago, back when we were still living in LA. My wife has been shopping and using organic and natural products since 2006, so we wanted to make our own products in the future.

Fast forward to 2011, we thought that this was the perfect time to use the TFO name. We opened our first stall in the meat section of The Landmark Supermarket, in their two branches in Makati and Trinoma on October 28, 2011 (also my daughter, Sabina's birthday).

The Farm Organics in Rustan's and Shopwise

A few months later, our products also became available in Rustan's and Shopwise Supermarkets. We do not have our own meat stalls there but we supply their certified organic fresh-chilled beef, aside from our The Farm Organics vacuum-packed beef of different cuts in their frozen meat section. Just ask for our certificate if you are curious if they are selling you our certified organic beef or not.

Soon afterwards, several other organic and natural stores (Echomarket, Gana Vida, etc.) started carrying TFO products, since we are the only certified organic local beef in the Philippines.

The Farm Organics Robinson's Eastwood Libis

Just a few weeks ago, we opened another The Farm Organics meat stall in Robinson's Supermarket in Eastwood Libis, and soon in Robinson's Magnolia. Our products will also be available in vacuum-packed bags in Robinson's Nuvali, Galleria, Ermita, and Metroeast within the next few weeks. For more information on our locations please check out www.thefarm.ph/branches

For those who like their products delivered, we created www.thefarm.ph--the first E-commerce website for organic and natural products. You can pay via Paypal, cash-on-delivery (COD), bank deposit, and soon with your credit card without using Paypal.

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank our suppliers, partners, media, family and friends, and most especially our clients for making this happen. Here's to more healthy years ahead!

I'll be posting more photos of milestones and special moments in the next few days to celebrate The Farm Organics' past year.

Thanks again!

The Healthy Burger

Can't stop eating those fast food burgers? Me too, so I decided to make a burger that my wife and kids could eat more frequently.

First, we definitely wanted to use 100% pure beef. We didn't want to add any extenders, phosphates, nor binders so we had our butchers use only The Farm Organics certified organic grass-fed beef.

Next, we didn't want our burgers fried, so we decided to grill the patties (seasoned with just salt and pepper, nothing else) for that delicious flavor--without the extra grease.

And finally, we wanted it affordable, because that's how we roll.

Introducing, the first (and only) healthier all beef burger in the Philippines: The Farm Grilled Double Quarter Pounder Cheeseburger.

The Farm Double Quarter Pounder Cheeseburger

Each burger patty is 1/4 of a pound. One cheese slice per patty, lettuce, our secret sauce, and grill-toasted buns.

Healthy burgers delivered straight to your door

For now, the TFO Double Quarter Pounder Cheeseburger is available online at thefarm.ph but we're already working on the burger joints which should be up within the next few months.

We only use certified organic pure beef patties

For those who want to cook their own burgers you can order our organic ready-to-cook patties also at thefarm.ph or get them at our meat shops in supermarkets or specialty stores.
